Repair and Rental Store Opening Soon

Fairbanks Bike Shop

A combined community effort to offer sustainable transportation for residents in the Grant Beach Neighborhood.
Make the commute faster and safer.

In 2014, the Grant Beach Neighborhood was identified as a "red flag" district for poverty and the recent closure of a grocer has created a food desert. The nearest grocery store is three miles away, over and across a number of busy intersections. In order to address this problem, Drury Enactus and the Fairbanks Community Center are teaming up!

We are launching a bike rental service using gently used bikes that have been rehabilitated and branded for the Grant Beach Neighborhood.

Instead of having to make a long commute home on foot, we are providing residents an opportunity to go on two wheels. The residents can put their groceries in the convenient bicycle basket and can get their fresh produce home faster and much easier.
